Air-cooled systems: lower / dissipate heat with flowing air. These hydraulic cooler systems offer a low running cost and simple maintenance, while eliminating contamination threats and minimising corrosion of equipment. However, these hydraulic coolers require a large floor space with ventilation provisions. Fluctuating room temperatures also directly affect their cooling capacities.
Water-cooled systems: use cold water to remove heat. Water-cooled systems offer a lower upfront cost, however, require an on-demand supply of water. These hydraulic coolers offer quiet, compact operation while not increasing the room temperature. What’s more, these systems provide heated water as a by-product for other processes. However, they require more maintenance as corrosion and erosion risks are increased.
