In order to provide an onsite end-to-end hydraulic offering, the workshop services include Bosch Rexroth Africa's hydraulic cylinder Service Exchange Programme as well as supplying new, or providing services for, pumps, filtration systems, drives, valves, piston motors and hydraulic maintenance tools. A hydraulic pump is a mechanical device, designed to convert mechanical power into hydraulic energy. It creates mechanical action which, in turn, creates a vacuum at the inlet to the pump. This creates a pressure differential, which forces liquid from the reservoir into the inlet. The mechanical action of the pump directs the liquid to the pump outlet.
A hydraulic power unit is most commonly used in heavy equipment and machinery (e.g. construction or mining machinery). However, hydraulic are also found in a multitude of other devices, such as escalators or elevators, dump trucks, vehicle braking systems, fuel pumps and all sorts of other automated manufacturing machines.
