VIEW PRODUCTFor over 35 years, OMAL Automation process valves have helped operators achieve safer, more reliable plants, with more precise flow control.
OMAL Automation's process valves and actuators are manufactured with expert technical knowledge and specific standards of engineering. Constructed from various heavy-duty materials, OMAL Automation process valves are ideal to withstand sub-Saharan Africa’s toughest conditions!
OMAL Automation process valves are designed to achieve improved performance in control of flow in a wide range of applications throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
OMAL Automation is one of 4 OEMs in the world certified to manufacture these products for the industry.
All pressure controlling valves are manufactured to “Empower Performance” and are designed with remarkable attention to detail and advanced manufacturing technologies.
These designs fulfil precise functions while guaranteeing quality, reliability and efficiency in your operation.
OMAL Automation process valves are certified to the following performance, safety and environmental standards:
OMAL Automation has been supplying the highest quality valves to the world since 1981. Continually aiming for the best quality in products, internal processing and production, OMAL Automation constantly chooses quality, from the raw materials to product creation and certification.
Utilising the latest manufacturing technologies, all OMAL Automation process valves are manufactured and tested in three different plants in Milan, Italy. This manufacturing and testing facility has a foundry, painting plant, CNC centre, plastic injections, assembly, laboratories, and quality department.
These cutting-edge technologies enable OMAL Automation to exercise maximum control on the different production processes, while also allowing for immediate reaction to new needs in the market.
OMAL Automation believes that the quality of a company is evident in the care given to raw materials chosen.
The OMAL Automation selection of materials used to produce valves and actuators play a fundamental role in maintaining high levels of performance and reliability.
Staff training at OMAL Automation aims is constantly updated and improved, as this is recognised as an important driver of competitiveness.
This generates market impacts in improvement of technical performances and work competencies, as well as helps valorise the staff by motivating and stimulating employees to continually learn and upskill.
The Quality Management System of OMAL Automation was certified in 1992, and OMAL’s latest adoption has been the 2015 version of UNI EN ISO 9001.
OMAL Automation firmly believes that quality standards are directly related to meeting the best international standards, with all products aiming for these accreditations.

The two specific types of valves, rotary and linear.
The rotary valve makes use of rotary motion for the flow of liquid.
Linear valves make use of either pneumatic/electro-magnetic force or by the rotation of a threaded rod (stem).
Process control valves are used in controlling variables such as liquid level or flow, temperatures or even pressure in industrial applications.
Liquid can go through the valve as required (at a controlled variable), automatically opening and shutting it, according to system demands.
Pressure controlling valves are ideal for the control of pressure within the system, whereas temperature controlling valves are used to maintain a stable system temperature.
Valves are used to control the temperature, flow, pressure or level liquid in a system, ensuring that the system is functioning optimally or as expected.
Valves also help prevent the backward flow of liquids in a system, which could cause damage or a fault (and result in downtime).
